Breathe Easy: A Safer, Greener Clean for Seniors with Viking Pure

Mar 4, 2026 | Featured, Independent Living

When you think about a clean home, what comes to mind? Probably the gleam of a polished countertop or the fresh scent that lingers in the air after a thorough scrub.

But what if that “clean” smell is actually the sign of harsh chemicals? For many of us, especially seniors, the very products used to keep our homes tidy can introduce irritants that affect our health and well-being.

At Priority Life Care, we believe your home should be a true sanctuary, a place where you can go to relax, to feel your best, and to feel comfortable.

That feeling shouldn’t be something that you have to sacrifice when you make the move to an independent living community. We’re committed to sustainability and have adopted a new solution to keep our communities clean without relying on harsh chemicals.

That solution is called Viking Pure, and we’re here to tell you exactly how it’s making a difference for the residents in our independent living communities.

The Problem with Traditional Cleaning

You’ve likely seen the warnings on the back of common household cleaners: words like “caution,” “hazardous,” or “use in a well-ventilated area” are so ubiquitous that we barely notice them, if we take the time to read the labels on these cleaners at all.

However, it’s something worth paying attention to, as these products often contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs). These insidious chemicals can be released into the air whenever you use the cleaning products, contributing to respiratory problems, headaches, and skin irritation in the meantime.

This is problematic for anyone, but for seniors, who may be more likely to have sensitive respiratory systems or allergies, this is a big deal. In fact, studies show that long-term exposure to cleaning sprays can be as damaging to lung function as smoking a pack of cigarettes a day.

The good news is that it doesn’t have to be this way. In fact, we think there’s a far better way to achieve a spotless home that promotes wellness instead of compromising it.

How Viking Pure Changes the Game

So, what’s our secret weapon for a safer clean? It’s simple, really: just salt, water, and electricity. Viking Pure solutions are created on-site using an electrochemical activation process. This technology creates a powerful, non-toxic cleaner and a hospital-grade disinfectant from basic, natural ingredients.

This is a cleaner that’s tough on germs but gentle on you and the environment. Because Viking Pure solutions are made without synthetic chemicals, they don’t leave behind harmful residues on surfaces.

There are no fumes to inhale, no toxins to absorb through the skin, and nothing to irritate your eyes or lungs. It’s a clean that you can feel good about, creating a space where you can truly breathe easy.

Priority Life Care’s Commitment to You

Our partnership with Viking Pure is just one example of how we embody our commitment to sustainability and wellness each and every day at Priority Life Care.

The idea of “going green” is, for us, more than just a buzzword. Instead, it’s a reflection of our dedication to putting the health of our residents first.

We understand that a healthy lifestyle involves everything from the food you eat to the air you breathe. And by using Viking Pure, we’re actively reducing the chemical footprint within our communities and creating a healthier indoor environment for everyone.

Are you ready to learn more about a community that prioritizes your well-being in every detail? We’d love to show you what makes Priority Life Care different.

I have known many residents who have lived at this community for several years and are very happy. The food is as good as any restaurant (if not better), and there is always something going on for the people who live there. The staff have been there for DECADES in many cases, and really seem to love what they do and genuinely care about the seniors who live there. If I had a loved one in need of independent or assisted living, I'd send them there without hesitation.

Good value and very nice friendly staff. Very attentive. Good size apartments, lovely balcony. However, the bathrooms are not designed for an elderly or disabled person. Very small. Difficult for someone to assist resident with showering not enough room for two people. Food quality and menu variety could use some improving. Lots of different activities and services provided.

My mother has been in assisted living at this Brookdale for 2 1/2 years. I am there frequently, and the staff has been amazing in meeting her needs. My mom is happy and at home there. I appreciate that there is not a big turnover in nursing and cna staff. We get to know the ladies that take care of mom and it is a comfort that they truly care about her. The activities director for assisted living does a fantastic job in keeping mom engaged and encouraging her to participate in crafts and special events. The new executive director has been absolutely amazing… responding quickly and kindly to any needs that arise. Thank you! Kudos to the Resident Services Director and Health and Wellness Director for assisted living. They, along with the other staff have also been professional and quick to respond to needs. Thank you all!
